Quim Roca | Breathwork
I started playing harmonica in my 30s, and soon after, breathing awareness started changing my life. Both the harmonica and breathwork helped me heal that wounded youngster; the former to express my suppressed sensitivity, the latter to release all my stuck emotions.
In my 40s, I discovered overtone singing and how to connect with my energy centers; that opened my path to sound therapy.
In my 50s, after years of self-healing, extensive reading, and undertaking different formations in sound therapy, breathwork and energy healing practices, I created BeHarpy to share my experience and to present harmonica and overtone singing as tools to explore and to achieve a deeper intimacy with our breathing and to connect with our body, our mind and our creativity.
Since 2013, I have been offering Conscious Breathing, Harmonica and Overtone Singing workshops in different countries: Spain, France, Great Britain, Germany and the USA, using different languages: Catalan, Spanish, French, English and Portuguese.

Since 2018, I have organized the Gironella Harmonica Camp, featuring the amazing Joan Pau Cumellas and myself as instructors.
As a harmonica player I have been in different rock and blues bands and have accompanied songwriters for the last 20 years.
The three harmonica players that have influenced me the most, not only for they expertise and great taste in the music they play, but mostly for their humanity, generosity, humbleness and their art when teaching are Joan Pau Cumellas, Marko Jovanović and Joe Filisko.
I currently play country music in a duo with Borja Olalla.
